i want to some information about distance learning education?

Distance and online collaborative education is a new and effective way of education and knowledge interchange between persons with similar interests and expertise.
Several sites provide online courses. Many of them are for free, usually published under a Creative Commons license. Online courses are often hosted in Social Learning Networks as to support collaboration.
Find a site which offers free online courses. One alternative is to search the web for "Free Online Courses". Another alternative is to search for online courses in Yahoo’s! Creative Commons Search (http://search.yahoo.com/cc).
There are generally two kind of online courses regular eCourses and rapid eCourses.
•Regular eCourses are mainly University Courses and can have several styles. The eCourses from the Open University (http://openlearn.open.ac.uk) for example have a content structure with web sites covering in text (often enriched with pictures or some movies) the subject. The eCourses from MIT (http://ocw.mit.edu) have another style. They consist of lecture notes, study materials, videos (not always), exams etc.
•Rapid eCourses are usually power points which have been converted into flash files and give the student a quick and concentrated overall of the subject.
Some other site that could be useful:
•Open Courseware Consortium (http://www.ocwconsortium.org)
•Learnhub Study Abroad (http://learnhub.com)
•Free Online Learning (http://www.schoox.com)
•Free Online Courses on Berkeley (http://webcast.berkeley.edu)
•Free Online Courses on Yale (http://oyc.yale.edu)
•Free Online Language Courses (http://www.word2word.com/coursead.html)
•Free Online Courses on Utah State (http://ocw.usu.edu)

Hope it helps,
Elef
